If you follow fashion with anything more than a fleeting interest, you’ll probably have heard of British designer Olivia Rubin. Her label is now in its sixth season, and her name is rising fast towards those of London’s designer fashion elite.

Rubin, 26, previously worked for Alexander McQueen and John Galliano after graduating from Central Saint Martins College in London, and has since built a reputation around her unique graphic prints (in particular, the brick print) and as a result appears regularly in fashion magazines like Grazia and Vogue, who authoritatively declared her one to look out for.

Thackerays has a tendency towards standout British designers, and Olivia Rubin is no exception - the range is now part of our AW10 line-up, and there’ll be more next season.

You can keep up with Olivia Rubin on the web via her blog or Twitter account, both of which she updates personally and regularly.

Love from Australia AW10 preview

Posted on by David Goss

Our friends at Love from Australia recently gave The Fashion 411 behind the scenes access to the photoshoot for their upcoming Autumn/Winter collection.

Despite predictions to the contrary, sheepskin boots have withstood the test of time and cemented their place as a fashion staple. LFA’s new range sounds promising; their classic silhouettes remain but have been added to with well-placed faux fur, metal studs, buckles and tassles.

The new LFA range will be available on this site in the next few weeks.

What's this?

This new section is going to be our outlet for all things style-related. Our small team will be running two or more posts a week on anything style-related that matters.

There are lots of blogs out there run by online stores, but we want to be different. Rather than just do "top ten" lists and point excitedly when a celebrity gets snapped wearing our clothes, we’ll post outfit ideas, trend reports, designer profiles, fashion news and links, and anything else we think is worth a read for our style-conscious users.

Every post we publish will be announced on our Twitter account, and there are RSS and email subscription options in the pipeline. In the meantime, check back soon for more posts and let us know what you think.
